Annoyed by the enormous number of jokes about Asif Zardari circulating through SMS, cunning Zardari has finally found a way to stop it: He has imposed tax on mobile SMS messages in this year's budget.
Zardari had been trying for long to stop it through various means, including ordering FIA(Federal Investigation Agency) to arrest those people who forward these messages to others. All those efforts failed.
It seems the annual budget presented a good opportunity to stop this menace.
The text messages mostly contained jokes about Zardari's corruption in the past governments.
The other day, a group of youths held a protest rally in Lahore against this tax.
This must be the first time a protest of this nature was held.

Zardari orders FIA to arrest SMS senders - SMS tax withdrawn

Old habits die hard!
Goon Zardari has found use of force as a better way to stop people joking about him.
He has ordered FIA and other federal intelligence agencies to hunt down those people who send jokes about him using mobile phone SMS.

So beware of that! policemen could come knocking at your door just because you forwarded an interesting joke about Zardari to your friend.

Is this Democracy?

Pakistan Peoples Party's current government was formed on the false pretext of democracy. But as they have proved, this government is a silly joke on democracy.
Media was more free during Military rule under Pervaiz Musharraf and there were no such restrictions on SMSs.
Peoples party's government is having a hard time bearing with the free media which was created during Musharraf's military rule.
Before coming to power, PPP opportunists used to call Musharraf a dictator.
Now that they are in power and showing worst ever performance on democracy front, what should they be called?
Zardari can best be described as a civilian dictator.
