After a spate of suicide bombings and other terrorist attacks in Pakistan, Interior Advisor Rehman Malik found enough courage to speak out an ugly truth: A suicide bomber can be bought for as low as 5,00,000 rupees which is approximately six thousand dollars. This amount is promised to the families of suicide bombers and are paid to them after the job is done. Poverty seems to be the only motivation behind paid suicide bombings. Though this fact has been known to Pakistanis for quite some time, but it is the first time any government official has spoken about it. This revelation belies a long believed theory that all suicide bombings are based on religious motivation or revenge. This theory has long been used by western propagandists to malign Islam.

Who would pay for suicide bombings?

Looking at the current situation in and around Pakistan, it is not difficult to guess the answer to this question. With India's vast terror network spread across the eastern border of Pakistan and western part of Afghanistan, paying such a small amount for suicide bombings may be the best weapon Indians can use in their terror campaign against Pakistan. What else have Indians been doing with thousands of military personnel and around 150 bases established inside Afghanistan for more than eight years now? In fact, the "co-operation" of India and USA in Afghanistan is just a pretext of their combined terror campaign inside Pakistan to force Chinese interests out of Pakistan. In this campaign, Indians are only playing their traditional role of doing COOLY work for a superpower, as it is USA and not India that is threatened by Chinese advances towards the middle east. What else are they co-operating on in Afghanistan?
