It is never wise to present police with gifts. Robert Dendy, 59, learned this lesson the hard way.
He stopped by police headquarters in Tonawanda, New York, to appreciate the hard work of police officers and presented them with a flower wreath. One of the police officers identified the wreath as stolen from the shop next door and arrested him.
